The Association of Swedish Building Materials Merchants is an industry organization for the building materials merchants in Sweden.

Our main purpose is to help position the building material merchants towards suppliers, customers and society as well as employees and potential employees, thereby contributing to positive development of our member companies.

Our vision is that the building material merchants’ sector is an attractive, sustainable, digital and profitable industry.
Mission
The mission of the association is to create industry benefits that is industry- and competition-neutral and contribute to our focus areas as well as profitability. We also conduct lobbying projects towards the authorities and politicians.

Our assignments
The Association of Swedish Building Materials Merchants
- Is the central and industry gathering body and as such coordinate industry-neutral competition-neutral projects and issues.
- Implements activities that support and develop the focus areas such as Sustainability, Attractiveness and Digitalisation
- Informs members about industry events, agreements, regulations, etc. that can indirectly or directly affect members and their operations
- Communicates and creates visibility for the building material merchants of the target groups stated in the communication platform
- Manages, develops and implements the information standard (VILMA)
- Works with and communicates industry statistics
